In some cases if the eyelashes are not applied correctly it can cause damage to natural lashes. It is Important to maintain aftercare and find an experienced technician that understands the proper techniques.

Not at all! Apart from washing them which takes around 1min and brushing them in the morning you can wake up and go about your day. Refills every 2-3 weeks.
